We are excited to host Jurgen Jost(Max Planck Institute of Mathematics in the Sciences) in the BeyondTheEdge Seminar series with a talk titles Hypergraphs:

A hypergraph is a general structure where groups of several elements can stand in relations, as in chemical reactions or scientific collaborations. A mathematical theory is emerging, with Laplace type operators and their spectra, and various notions of discrete curvature. These furnish powerful tools with which to probe empirical structures that are modeled as hypergraphs.
